How I Turned £5K Into a 7-Figure Amazon FBA Business

By Connor · Method FBA · 7 min read

I didn't start Amazon FBA because I wanted a Ferrari. I started because I wanted freedom — freedom to work from anywhere, on my own terms, building something that was mine.

Looking back at my dashboard from December 2025, seeing £16,000+ in profit for a single month, I still have to pinch myself. Just 10 months prior, I was staring at a £5,000 savings account and a terrifying question: can this actually work?

Phase 1: The Grind (Month 1-3)

I started with Retail Arbitrage (RA). Driving to shops, scanning barcodes, buying clearance stock. It was unglamorous and exhausting, but it taught me the most important lesson:

The data doesn't lie. If the Keepa charts say it sells, it sells. I learned to trust the numbers over my gut feeling.

In those first three months I barely broke even. But I was learning the system — how FBA works, how to read Keepa, how to prep and ship, how to handle returns.

Phase 2: The Pivot (Month 4-6)

Online Arbitrage (OA) was the game-changer. I could analyse 100 deals in the time it took to drive to one shop. My revenue doubled, then tripled.

I learned discount stacking, storefront analysis, and how to use Keepa alerts to catch opportunities before other sellers. My profit margins went from 15% to 25-30%.

Phase 3: The Scale (Month 7-12)

Amazon-to-Amazon (A2A) became my biggest profit driver. My business model evolved into a balanced ecosystem:

The Result

In December 2025, I hit £16,000 in net profit. That's more than I used to make in four months at my previous job. But the money isn't the best part.

The best part is the freedom. I run this business from my laptop. I spend months in Thailand training Muay Thai. I don't have a commute. I don't have a boss.

It works. It's not passive income — it requires 15-25 hours/week of focused work. But it's work that compounds, that scales, and that you own.
