1. Understanding the Account Health Dashboard
Key Metrics
- Order Defect Rate (ODR): Must stay below 1%. This includes A-to-Z claims, chargebacks, and negative feedback. One bad month can tank this.
- Late Shipment Rate: Keep below 4%. As an FBA seller, this is mostly handled by Amazon, but if you do any MFN orders, watch this closely.
- Policy Compliance: Any active policy violations will show here. Address them immediately — don't let them accumulate.
2. Intellectual Property (IP) Complaints
IP complaints are the most common reason for suspension in the arbitrage world. This happens when a brand tells Amazon you aren't authorised to sell their products.
How to Avoid Them

- Retail Receipts: Show the store name, date, product name, and price paid.
- Wholesale Invoices: Must show supplier name, your business name, product details, and quantities.
- Pro Tip: Circle or highlight the relevant product on receipts before uploading to Amazon. Make it easy for the reviewer.
4. Managing Customer Feedback
Negative feedback hurts your ODR. But did you know you can get most of it removed?
If the feedback is about the product (not the seller experience) or about shipping delays on an FBA order, Amazon will typically remove it — because that is Amazon's fault, not yours.
Check your feedback weekly and request removal for any that qualifies.
